Birding Timeline
Mabamba Swamp Expedition
Start early with a traditional canoe trip through the papyrus reeds of Mabamba. Our primary target is the Shoebill Stork.
Acacia Woodland Birds
Transfer to Lake Mburo. We seek out the elusive African Finfoot on the water and the Red-faced Barbet in the acacia thickets.
Albertine Rift Endemics
Head to the Ruhija sector of Bwindi. Hike to the Mubwindi Swamp to find the rare African Green Broadbill and the vibrant Regal Sunbird.
Raptors & Water Birds
Transit to Queen Elizabeth NP for raptor spotting. Day 6 features a birding-focused boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel for Skimmers, Pelicans, and Kingfishers.
Mpanga Forest Walk
A final forest walk in Mpanga targeting the Black-and-white-casqued Hornbill and various Sunbirds before returning to Entebbe.
